**Primary School Teaching Assistants for Relief Cover - Flexible Shifts - Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire**

**We are looking for Teaching Assistants who have previous experience in this role or a similar kind of role with GCSE's or equivalent in a minimum of Maths and English. Ideally you will have your own transport however it isn't essential. You will be required to have an enhanced DBS check for this position.**

**The Role**
- To work in various primary schools around the local area covering holidays, sickness, whilst our clients recruit or to cover maternity/paternity etc.
- To work under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff to undertake work/care/support programmes, to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils in the classroom.
- Supervise and provide support for all pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
- Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to their individual needs
- Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage with activities led by the teacher
- Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under guidance of the teacher
- Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, in accordance with lesson plans and assist with the display of pupils’ work
- Monitor pupils’ responses to learning activities and accurately record progress and provide feedback to teachers
- Promote good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with the school’s policy
- Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health & safety and data protection reporting all concerns to an appropriate person
- Treat pupils with dignity and at all times observing proper boundaries appropriate to a teaching assistants’ professional position
- Participate in and carry out and administrative and organisational tasks as required
- Have professional regard for the ethos, policies and practices of the school in which you are a teaching assistant in, and maintain high standards in your teaching practices, punctuality and attendance.
