We are looking for someone who is passionate about bringing people together, building dialogues and listening to ideas to join this organisation's team at their Cambridge centre.

Position: Centre Fundraiser

Location: Cambridge

Hours: Full-time, permanent

**Salary**: £28,047 - £36,290 DOE

Closing Date: Friday 23rd June 2023 at 6am

About the Role

The purpose of the role is to utilise effective and efficient fundraising skills to assist in delivering both financial and non-financial targets which will provide a gateway to all fundraising activity across the organisation. You will assist in implementing the centre fundraising strategy, working with the Centre Fundraising team to deliver income targets through proactive donor recruitment and excellent donor care. This includes supporting and retaining existing supporters and researching new key relationships with individuals as well as partnerships with local businesses, groups, and associations.

You will represent the vision and purpose of the organisation whilst supporting the delivery of fundraising initiatives and campaigns including presentations, face-to-face, telephone and written communications.

There will be a requirement to work irregular hours as well as frequent local travel.

Key responsibilities of the Centre Fundraiser include:
*You will utilise effective and efficient administrative and fundraising skills to assist in delivering both financial and non-financial targets, which will provide a gateway to all fundraising activity across the organisation.
*You will support the Centre Fundraising Manager to implement the fundraising strategy to deliver income targets through proactive donor recruitment and excellent donor care.
*You will support and retain existing supporters and research new key relationships with individuals as well as partnerships with local businesses, groups and associations.
*You will represent the work, vision and purpose of the organisation whilst supporting the delivery of local and central fundraising initiatives and campaigns. This includes presentations, face-to-face, telephone and written communications.

About You

The Centre Fundraiser will demonstrate strong prioritising, planning, and organising skills around your own workload along with the flexibility to work collaboratively with other fundraising teams to maximise income from all areas. Your commitment, energy and confidence will help you to respond effectively to challenges within a fast-moving environment and to identify and respond to changing priorities.

To succeed in the role of Centre Fundraiser, your key skills will include:
*Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
*Excellent IT skills
*Strong written and verbal communication
*Experience in raising funds in a community setting

About the Organisation

The employer is an independent charity - but their centres are beside major cancer hospitals across the UK and they have excellent relationships with their partner hospitals. Their workshops, courses, one-to-one and group support help people to change the way they live with cancer.
