This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Clinical Associate Psychologist (CAP) who is keen to take on the challenges of working within a new service supporting with people with complex psychological and emotional needs. Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust in partnership with Primary Care Networks and Voluntary Community and Social Enterprises have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated Qualified CAP to work within the expanding Primary Care Networks (PCN) across RDASH and local communities. We know that the first contact with services for emotional and mental health support is the most important part of the journey to recovery. We see this new service as fundamental to the development of innovative and integrated mental health services within our local community, helping to achieve our shared ambition of 'no wrong door' and the delivery of the right care, in the right place, at the right time, and with the right service.

The post holder will provide specialised psychological assessment, formulation, treatments, and clinical interventions to clients with complex mental health problems, focusing on strength and assets to help people with what matters most to them.
The post holder will work as part of the multidisciplinary team promoting a strong formulation based approach to the causes and maintaining factors of mental health difficulties. The characteristics of the core population receiving direct services are people with complex psychological and emotional needs who may have experienced adverse life events, this includes those with serious mental illness, for example complex depression and anxiety, complex trauma, personality disorder, psychosis and schizophrenia.
