As a Service Designer at Siemens Digital Industries, you will join a Digital Customer Experience team that delivers online experiences for customers and tools for internal teams. You’ll be responsible for leading our journey mapping research and recommendations to business stakeholders and development teams. You will also actively design interactions that involve people (sales, inside sales, support) as customers progress through the buyer’s journey.

You will join a Customer Experience team of product managers, UX researchers and designers, and developers dedicated to building the best, friction-free digital buyer’s journey experiences for our SaaS customers. We are looking for a Service Designer with an "explorer’s soul” to join our team and pioneer our Service Design practice. You have an amazing opportunity to contribute to the design and recommendations of business resources - people, process and technology.

You will work closely with product managers, stakeholders and development teams to ensure a high-quality understanding of the problems, and make recommendations for solutions. **A Service Designers is expected to**:

- Shepherd Siemens customer-focused culture
- Design and pilot the events, processes, assets, and tools that inspire understanding and solution of Digital Industries customer experience during their exploration of products through to purchase. For example, this might take the form of workshops, hack weeks, interviews, Blueprints, journey maps, process flows, documentation, or prototypes
- Establish the definition of success, assess and pivot when needed
- Steward the journey of customer data from the moment of discovery and through their lifecycle with Siemens.
- Build empathy and understanding with internal teams and enrich Siemen’s customer-culture while designing the best path for demand data through our platforms and technology
- Partner with the Channel Partner organization to build empathy for the partner experience and define processes that involve partners
- Become a service design ambassador and build a network of advocates to compound your reach
- Participate in regular planning and reporting meetings with leadership

**A Service Designer has these skills**:

- Prototyping
- Journey Mapping
- Creating Service blueprints
- Excellent listener and empathetic communicator
- Comfortable with healthy tension to challenge status quo and inside-out thinking
- Able to make hard priority decisions and back them up with reason, data and logic
- Speaks design language with designers, development language with developers and business language with stakeholders
- High emotional intelligence
- Ability to influence, especially with senior-level stakeholders
- Highly organized with complex projects and comfortable following a process - sets the example for the team norms and desired behaviors
- Business savvy and knows how to think of digital experiences as a revenue driver and loyalty driver

**Minimum Requirements**:

- 6+ years of relevant design experience or freelance work in service design
- Relevant portfolio of work experience showcasing your impact leading teams
- Demonstrated visual story telling abilities
- Proficiency using User Journey Mapping and Service Blueprint both to analyze gaps but also to create new ideas
- Experimental approach to work with progress rather than perfection mindset
- Ability to work autonomously
- Experience speaking in public and facilitating team dynamics both in person and remote setups
- Able to travel on average 1 week per quarter
