Handyman/woman

Bauhaus Student Accommodation is a leading student accommodation company operating across Aberdeen, committed to delivering exceptional student accommodation. We are currently seeking a part time skilled and proactive Handyman or Handywoman to join our ever-growing team, working across our properties in Aberdeen.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct routine maintenance checks on studio rooms to uphold safety and quality standards.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and inquiries, ensuring timely resolution.
- Execute repairs encompassing plumbing, joinery, and general maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities for compliance and future reference purposes.
- Support property inspections, identifying improvement areas and overseeing necessary upgrades.
- Cultivate positive student relationships by addressing concerns and ensuring comfortable living conditions.
- Maintain adequate levels of spares, stock and supplies, ensuring effective forward planning.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Handyman, preferably within property management or student accommodation contexts.
- Comprehensive knowledge of general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, joinery, and painting.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work independently.
- Effective communication skills to liaise professionally with students and external contractors.
- Valid driving license and reliable transportation.

**Job Types**:

- Part Time approx. 20/25 hours per week
- Rate of Pay dependant on experience and skill set.
- Suit a retired/ semi-retired person

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Maintenance: 5 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
