Job Introduction
Are you ready to play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring our store maintains the highest standards of cleanliness? Home Bargains is looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as Store Team Members with additional responsibilities in cleaning duties.
We can offer various shift patterns, starting at 5 am some days to set up the store for the day or finishing at 11 pm on other days to close the store and ensure the store is ready for the next day.
**Available contracted hours are 8 hours per week.**
Job Overview
As a Store Team Member - Cleaner, you will not only greet customers with a smile and assist with product queries but also take charge of maintaining the tidiness and cleanliness of our store. Your duties will include using a Hako floor scrubbing machine, cleaning staff areas and bathrooms, and ensuring excellent store standards are upheld. Additionally, you will also undertake store team member duties as required, ensuring seamless operations throughout the store.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Welcome and assist customers with their inquiries, ensuring they have a positive shopping experience
- Operate a Hako floor scrubbing machine to maintain clean store floors, ensuring they are free of debris and spills
- Clean and sanitise staff areas, bathrooms, and communal spaces to uphold hygiene standards and promote a safe environment
- Dust and wipe down shelves, displays, and counters to maintain a neat and organized appearance throughout the store
- Assist with restocking shelves and replenishing merchandise as needed to ensure products are readily available for customers
- Collaborate with team members to identify and address any maintenance issues or cleanliness concerns promptly
- Uphold exceptional store standards and undertake additional cleaning duties as required
Minimum Criteria To Apply
- Previous experience in a cleaning role or fast paced environment role is advantageous but not essential
- Demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic
- Polite, professional, and courteous demeanour
- Flexibility to start early shifts at 5 am or finish late shifts at 10 pm
- Eagerness to contribute to the success of our store
