As one of 15 Academic Health Science Networks (AHSNs) across England, we connect and support academics, NHS, industry and others to bring fresh energy to old problems, inspired thinking to new ones and to adopt innovative practice at scale.

Join our Innovation and Adoption Team in a key role to support both the Programme Management Office and team by providing assistance to a range of health programmes which support innovation adoption across Wessex.

**Working for Wessex AHSN**:
Wessex AHSN is a company limited by guarantee, owned by the NHS and University Members, hosted by University Hospital Southampton.

Based at Southampton Science Park in Chilworth in a bright modern office easily accessible from the M3, M27 and Southampton Parkway train station, the location offers free parking with a café area and networking spaces on site. 27 acres of the Science Park site are designated a protected Conservation Area and open to staff.

**YOUR MAIN DUTIES**:

- Provide administrative and programme management support to the team as required to deliver the programmes of work via the Programme Management Office.
- Support for the team including, but not limited to, organising and co-ordinating events, meetings, webinars, communications and information systems.
- Development, implementation and maintenance of administration practices and procedures which support programme delivery.
- Complex communication and rapid assessment of situational responses will be required to deliver outputs to target time and quality.
- The post holder will act as the first port of call for Innovation Adoption enquiries.

**WHAT YOU’LL DO**:

- Work as part of the Programme Management Office to support a range of health and innovation programmes within the Innovation and Adoption Team.
- You will have key working relationships with colleagues within the AHSN including Associate Directors, Programme Managers and Wessex NHS stakeholders and partners from a wide range of health and social care settings.
- You will closely with our business support and communication teams.

**THE ROLE REQUIRES**:

- Programme Support and management of Information Systems: co-ordination of data, programme tasks and event planning.
- Communications and Marketing: supporting communications for a range of programmes to raise awareness and show impact.

Previous experience of general administration within a busy team, being able to manage data and produce high quality communication is necessary. If you are able to use your initiative, work without direct supervision and can prioritise your workload to meet urgent deadlines, with a proficiency in IT skills and feel confident in your communication skills, this could be a great opportunity to join a highly performing team and further develop your skills.
