**How you'll make a difference**:
The First Contact Team is the front face of the Adult Care Team. First Contact Officers handle and resolve over 30,000 calls and written requests for Care Management, Occupational Therapy, safeguarding and Transition to Adulthood for the 0-25 Team.

As a First Contact Officer you will act as the face of the council and you’ll make a difference by ensuring those who contact the team feel listen to, supported and appropriately advised. You will do this by carefully questioning and actively listening to customers.

**What will you be doing?**
- You’ll be responsible for ensuring legal guidelines are met and customers responded to appropriately, this includes identifying any potential Safeguarding concerns and reporting this to the Senior Practitioner in the Safeguarding Team.

**What we need from you**:

- You will be a good team worker with the ability to work alone and effectively under pressure.
- You’ll be a good communicator with relevant Customer Care skills and experience of dealing with the public within a pressurised environment.
- You can demonstrate a high standard of administrative abilities.
- You’ll hold the equivalent of a minimum of 3 GCSE's at Grade C or above, (including Maths and English).
