Dog Daycare Assistant

**JOB SUMMARY**

Vanity Fur Dog Daycare and Spa are looking for a special person to join our friendly team with the day to day running of the dog daycare, which includes handling dogs, and providing enrichment programmes with a high standard of cleaning.
- We require a keen, confident, and enthusiastic person to join us, who can work as part of a team and have initiative to work on their own whilst prioritising tasks.
- Supervision, control, and management of all dogs in daycare and ensuring their welfare and safety.
- Basic knowledge of dog behaviour, dog breeds and animal first aid.
- Cleaning up after the dogs throughout the day.
- Feeding the dogs.
- Completion of all daily tasks and associated paperwork.
- Cleaning of all the indoor arenas, reception, play equipment's and other areas of the facility.
- Maintaining excellent relationships with the customers, including feedback at the end of every day.
- Supporting the development of social media
- Opening and closing procedures

**SKILLS NEEDED**
- Must be confident with working with large groups of dogs of various breeds and sizes.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Punctual, reliable and flexible (Must be available between opening hours of 7am-6pm).
- Willing to learn and forward thinking.
- Happy to be on your feet and be energic to work with the dogs as this is a physically demanding job.
- Must be enthusiastic and a team player.

**QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRABLE)**:

- Level 2 Diploma in Animal Care or above
- Experience in animal industry

Further training will be given to support both the staff and the dogs.

**WORKING HOURS**

To be confirmed following interview, however must be available to work between 7am
- 6pm Monday to Friday as shifts may vary.

**HOURLY RATE**

National minimum wage

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £6.83-£9.50 per hour
