Would you like to work for one of the leading British Family History organisations to help preserve the records of our ancestors for future generations?
We are expanding our digitisation team at The National Archives in Kew.
**What is digitisation?**
Converting physical books, maps and other media into a digital format for our worldwide users to search and view and add to their family trees.
**Skills required?**
All training is given, but experience in photography and Adobe Photoshop or Acrobat would be an advantage.
**What qualities will applicants have?**
- Efficient worker - Digitisation is a balance between speed and quality
- Diligence - You'll be working with documents that are over 100 years old and need to be handled with care
- Willing to undergo government security checks
**Working Hours?**
9-5, Monday to Friday
20 Days Paid Annual Leave, Plus Bank Holidays
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: From £10.50 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Richmond, TW9 4AD: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
