Job Description: Wetroom Installer in Social Housing
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Wetroom Installer to join our team in the social housing sector. As a Wetroom Installer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of wetrooms in social housing properties. Your role will involve working closely with tenants, housing officers, and other professionals to ensure the highest standard of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
**Responsibilities**:
- Install wetrooms in accordance with industry standards, manufacturer guidelines, and health and safety regulations.
- Conduct site visits to assess the feasibility of wetroom installations and provide accurate cost estimates.
- Collaborate with housing officers and tenants to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring a tailored approach to each installation.
- Assist in the procurement of materials, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare surfaces, including waterproofing and floor leveling, to ensure a proper foundation for the wetroom installation.
- Install drainage systems, shower units, toilets, sinks, and other fixtures and fittings as required.
- Work with other tradespeople, such as plumbers and electricians, to coordinate and complete comprehensive wetroom installations.
- Conduct tests to ensure proper functioning of all installed components, such as waterproofing, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Respond to maintenance and repair requests in a timely manner, identifying and resolving issues efficiently.
- Provide clear and detailed documentation of all work performed, including materials used and hours worked.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times.
- Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices, continuously improving skills and knowledge.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a Wetroom Installer, preferably in the social housing sector.
- In-depth knowledge of wetroom installation techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and health and safety guidelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with tenants, housing officers, and other professionals.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in physically demanding conditions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
