**Role Overview**

An exciting opportunity exists to join an award-winning team developing Casino gaming products for the UK and overseas markets. Based out of Media City, Manchester, you will be playing a key role in developing math models for our exciting casino video slot games, contributing to strengthening and expanding our existing gaming portfolio.

You enjoy calculating, designing and implementing mathematical concepts, which is the core of our games and a critical factor for success in our markets. You are a team-oriented person closely working and interacting with a development team producing video casino games and you welcome sharing knowledge. Working with game designers you will develop an aptitude for redesigning maths models to suit the UK market and enhancing the player experience.

The Manchester development studio is looking for a motivated Mathematician to join a collaborative, stimulating, creative, vibrant and friendly working environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Creating maths models in a variety of methods, including Excel and various proprietary tools
- Calculating the probabilities of winning combinations for our thrilling games
- Responsibility for programming the mathematical part of our software source code
- Working with the team to design and create the optimal game play profile to ensure player appeal and an excellent customer facing product
- Prepare the necessary mathematical documentation for the technical approval process
- Create and maintain high-quality documentation throughout the project life cycle, including concept and game summary documentation
- Being the internal contact person for requests concerning mathematical concepts
- Supporting game developers to implement the maths model and reviewing games as they are implemented to ensure that they reflect the correct math model
- Analysing performance data from the released product

**Required Qualifications / Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics or similar
- Commercial experience using maths and excel in a professional context
- A strong understanding and experience of statistics and probability calculation
- An advanced user of MS Excel, creating and adapting large and complex spreadsheets
- Programming skills to create or adapt simulation programs using Python and C#
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
