**Goods Inwards Inspector**

**Wolverhampton**

**Role & Responsibility**:
Collins Logistics has a dedicated Goods inwards that supports day to day processing of incoming Material for the production departments across the site working in line with Corporate Procedures & EHS guidelines

**Principle Accountabilities**
- Receipt of incoming goods
- Booking items into internal SAP system
- Access various internal systems to check drawings, FAI documents
- Visual checks of incoming parts for quality of product
- Ability to learn the different types of receipt
- Quick to learn with full training given
- Verify goods inwards product documentation, material, components & quantity received are, correct to documentation requirements & the relevant procedures that are applicable
- Liaising with Quality personnel to resolve quality related issues
- Reviewing Quality notes and acting accordingly
- Acting upon Quality alerts as first point of contact on the quality of parts
- Raising rejection notes for non-conforming parts
- Inspection and measurement of raw material
- Ability to interface with a wider range of business personnel to ensure the timely receipt of goods
- Able to follow procedure and specific quality requirements of parts.
- Structured and organised; good planning, reporting and communication skills.
- Create & manage any record systems that are required
- Sort & segregate waste for recycling & maintain good house
- keeping and a high level of 5s.
- Able & willing to work Days, Double Days Shift including weekends as & when required.
- Current Driving license as there will be a requirement to work between 2 plants

**Typical Educational Requirements**:

- Computer literate essential
- Flexible with a willingness to work as part of a team
- Reliable, good timekeeping with a “can do” attitude.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Responsive to change i.e. Continuous Improvement & achieving ACE goals
- Good organizational, time management skills
- Able to work calm under pressure & able to work on own initiative & make decisions
