Material Planner (Scunthorpe)

**Description and tasks**:
**Role Purpose**:
To ensure all planning, releasing and shipment of parts is done accurately and on time. To ensure all correspondence and communications with the customer are carried in a timely and professional manner at all times. Become the go to person for your area of responsibility.

**Main duties and responsibilities**:
Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate communications

Analyse and interpret customer schedule requirements to ensure on time deliveries

Analyse, communicate with and schedule on suppliers and own manufacturing sites ensuring JIT deliveries whilst minimising inventory holdings

Ensure the material planning cycle is accurately reflected in our MRP (Material Planning) system

Enter or maintain customer schedules, via EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and other processes in an accurate and timely manner

To be responsible for and the first point of contact for specific customers; maintain and develop existing customer’s development plans and progress shortages to ensure on time deliveries

Analyse, evaluate and action MRP to ensure maximum on time deliveries with minimum inventory holding

Continually work to improve working processes, on time deliveries and cost reductions in conjunction with other departments

Maintain data integrity and support finance, quality and dispatch teams with day to day operations

Analyse and interpret larges sets of data and be able to present in a way in which people will understand

Be the key liaison between internal departments and customers

Use initiative to resolve issues and not be afraid of making decisions

Support other team members customers during holiday periods and sickness

Liaise and attend meetings with other departments to aid business and organisational development

Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills

Knowledge of and adherence to ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and IATF 16949

Knowledge of and adherence to Bulten Group & Bulten Ltd Health and Safety Policy and procedures

Knowledge of and adherence to Bulten Ltd Environmental Policy

To assist as required with any other reasonable request in line with business needs or customer/client requirements

**Essential**:
Microsoft office, including excel

Right first time and can do attitude

**Desirable**:
Previous customer service experience

Working as part of a team

Working in an office based role

Telephony experience

Material Planning systems knowledge

**Our Offer**:
Full time permanent position

Monday to Friday 08:30 - 16:30 (35 hours per week)
