**The role will include but not be limited to the following**:
- **Prepare correspondence and documents through audio typing and word processing.**:
- **Administer filing which will include daily filing and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files and general admin.**:
- **Prepare mail and enclosures for despatch.**:
- **Arrange for all copying to be done as required**:
- **To make appointments, arrange meetings and to maintain an up-to-date diary for the Members and or fee earners.**:
- **To provide support to secretaries and to reception including switch board as required.**:
- **Provide guidance to junior and temporary members of staff when required to do so.**:
- **Attend clients, both in person and on the telephone, to deal wherever possible with routine client enquiries and communications.**:
- **Ensure financial control regarding cash flow through collection of monies on account and billing procedures and general accounting.**:
- **Undertake certain elements of fee earning work under supervision on behalf of clients and preparing appropriate documentation depending upon ability and experience.**
**Desired skills**
4-9 grades English and maths GCSE's
- Confident with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage reception in conjunction with other administration duties
- Good attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of ICT packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to demonstrate or gain a clear understanding of the firm’s in-house systems where training will be given
- Excellent presentation, organisation and timekeeping skills
- Awareness of confidentiality and safeguarding
- The ability to use own initiative, be able to work individually as well as part of a team
- Must be well-presented with a clear, pleasant telephone manner
- Good organisational skills
- Good client care skills

**You will complete the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard.**
- This Apprenticeship will involve off the job training.
- You will also develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours.
- You need to have an employer to support your Apprenticeship and be employed in a relevant job role.
- The typical length of this Apprenticeship course is 18 months.
