Pear Tree surgery is a 4 partner, 4 salaried GP semi-rural dispensing and training practice in North Warwickshire. From our main surgery based in Kingsbury and our smaller site in Hurley, we provide full general medical services to a list of approximately 10,500 patients.

We are currently looking for one full-time and one part-time receptionist and dispensary assistants to join our friendly staff team. This vital role provides the first point of contact with patients and requires dedicated team players comfortable working in a busy environments.

**Roles and responsibilities will include**:

- Answering and dealing with telephone and face to face enquiries
- Arranging appointments for patients and signposting to relevant services
- Taking messages and passing on information
- Processing and distributing incoming (and outgoing) mail
- Filing, photocopying and scanning
- Processing repeat prescriptions in accordance with Practice guidelines
- Dealing with clinical waste
- Liaising with Doctors, Nurses and other members of the team to provide a quality service for patients

and more.
- Computer literacy with experience of Microsoft Office and adaptable to a variety of software packages
- Excellent administration skills being able to successfully multi task
- Sound numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Customer service experience having the ability to deal with patients on the phone and in person in a professional and compassionate manner
- Attention to detail with the capability to concentrate on critical tasks
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times

Rates of pay start from £10.55 per hour and once dispensary course has been completed, pay will be £10.93 per hour.

**Full-time contract shift pattern**

Monday 8:00-18:30, Tuesday 8:00-18:30, Wednesday 8:00-18:30, Thursday off and Friday 13:00-18:30

**Part-time contract shift pattern**

Monday 13:00-18:30, Tuesday off, Wednesday 8:00-13:30, Thursday 13:00-18:30 and Friday 13:00-18:30
