**About the role**

Are you sometimes frustrated by unnecessary complexity in getting things done at work? Do you sometimes think: “Surely there’s a better way to do this”? Become a Focus Continuous Improvement (CI) Practitioner and you'll be taking an active role in the University’s change and continuous improvement team to bring these 'better ways' to fruition.

Focus works collaboratively with colleagues across central and academic departments, driving the Professional Services strategy, on activities that enable and support staff in improving delivery of the professional and administrative services that support Oxford’s core mission of teaching and research. To achieve this, we are looking for someone to join our team of Practitioners, who have expertise in Lean and continuous improvement tools and analysis techniques, and can work within a benefits based, structured project methodology. This opportunity has arisen as one of our team takes up a 2 year secondment to develop a CI practice in an academic department.

**About you**

You will have a passion for and commitment to the continuous improvement work of the Focus team. You will have experience working successfully within a project methodology and in using CI tools and techniques. You will be able to demonstrate how you’ve used these skills to challenge constructively and introduce change. You will be a clear communicator with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work well with people in uncertain and/or complex situations.

Your ability to work as part of a team and build strong and positive working relationships with colleagues across the organisation to achieve results will be critical to success in the role.
