The Best Connection (Newcastle) are currently recruiting for **Counter Balance FLT Operatives** to work on a continental work pattern for our client based on the Team Valley, Gateshead. Our client is one of the UK's largest distributors of flooring products such as carpets, vinyl tiles and underlay. They also supply a range of tools and workwear.

**The role**:

- Operating Counter Balance FLT to perform standard warehouse tasks
- Loading and unloading vehicles, picking stock and general house keeping
- Manual handling activities such as (but not limited to) pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying will be required
- Navigating through small spaces and tight areas
- Abide to company Health and Safety policies
- Valid and in date Counter Balance FLT licence (not in-house)
- Must have FLT experience in a warehouse environment
- Physically fit as the role will involve manual handling
- Able to work under own initiative or part of a team
- Able to get to the Team Valley for 04:00am in the morning (no public transport available at this time)

**Hours of work**:

- Monday to Friday
- Early morning shift
- 04:00am - 13:30pm
- One Saturday in four

**Pay Rate**:

- £11.48 per hour flat rate
- This increases to £11.93 per hour after 1st April 2024
