Truckwash Operative

WS Transportation has a great opportunity for 2 Yard Operatives to work out of our Wisbech Depot.
- Ensure that all Tractor & Trailer Units and other vehicles that enter the Vehicle Wash Area are washed to the highest standard of WS.
- Ensure a continuous flow of vehicles and trailers through the wash, either driven by staff or fetched using the allocated wash shunter.
- Accurately complete all necessary documentation to ensure that work is achieved to the highest standards.
- Maintain a clean and tidy wash area, free from litter, dirt, grease, and any other hazards.
- Operate the vehicle wash equipment in accordance with Safe Systems of Work and established company policies and procedures.
- Conduct daily checks to assess the condition of all wash equipment, promptly reporting any defects or issues to management.
- Ensure that adequate chemicals and consumables are available to carry out all duties effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the Wash area and plant room, ensuring that all items (chemicals, diesel, etc.) are stored safely and free from damage.
- Assist the Depot Manager with other duties in the yard area as required.

**Hours**

We are currently seeking 2 Yard Operatives, please see shift patterns outlined below:

- Vacancy 1: Monday-Friday 8:30-18:30
- Vacancy 2: Friday 8:30-18:30 -Saturday 6:30-16:30

**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time

**Experience**:

- Truck Washer: 2 years (preferred)
- Yard: 2 years (preferred)
- Shunting: 2 years (preferred)
