For the 2023 Season we are recruiting two Full Time Yard Crew / Warehouse Operatives

**Reporting to: Operations Manager / Director**

**Contract: Employed/Self Employed**

**Location: Keinton Farm, East Town Lane, Pilton. Somerset. BA44NX**

**Full Time position (37.5 hrs p/w) with an initial 6 month contract from 1st April 2023**

**Pay: £11- £12 per hour depending on experience**

**Key Responsibilities**

**Structure and Stock Maintenance**
- To become familiar with the Hearthworks Stock and Storage systems and Training Manual.
- To ensure that all Hearthworks equipment and structures are maintained to the required high standards and undamaged prior to storage.
- To build awareness of complete components of each structure and how each is correctly installed and stored.

**Stock Preparation and Loading**
- To work autonomously, maintaining a hard working ethic and high standards of safety and efficiency at all times.
- Stock check and prepare the required structures and furnishings for loading onto vehicles, efficiently and correctly.
- To ensure all structures, furnishings and bedding are clean, complete with all components and ready for field set up when loaded.
- Assist in furnishings and bedding processing, cleaning and preparation as required.
- Assist in vehicle maintenance and safety checks and cleaning as required.

**Working at the Yard**
- To support Hearthworks Management and Event Staff in carrying out their duties and responsibilities for event set up and take down as set out in the Staff Handbook.
- To become competent and aware of all practical considerations for the efficient and correct set up of Hearthworks structures.
- To assist in the organisation, preparation and correct storage of all components of the hire stock.
- To ensure all stock is clean and ordered correctly, prior to and during loading.
- To ensure that all dirty/clean furnishings are separated when unloading.
- To check for damage to stock and to clean all necessary stock and equipment after unloading.
- To maintain and contribute towards a good level of cleanliness and order in the yard and around the kitchen/crew spaces and recycling area.
- To commit to Hearthworks’ high standards of customer care and etiquette, as set out in the Staff Handbook and relevant Appendices.
- When working to meet event deadlines, to be occasionally available to work additional hours, if and when necessary, as requested by Hearthworks Management.

**Administration Duties**
- Familiarise yourself with the Hearthworks Staff Handbook and all relevant Health and Safety Policies.
- Support the accurate completion of stock checks and loading lists as and when required.
- Attend any training courses, meetings and briefings as required.
- Complete an accurate daily timesheet and work breakdown of hours worked.
- Give feedback, attend supervision meetings and/or work appraisals as requested.

Has full driving licence

Numeracy

**Experience**:
Has worked in a warehousing facility or with stock management systems

Used to working with teams

Experience of loading and unloading vehicles

Has worked in fast paced environment

Manual handling

Working at height

**Job Types**: Temporary contract, Freelance
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: £11.00-£12.00 per hour
