Reporting to the Group Head of FP&A, you will work with various finance and operational teams across the Group to support business planning processes and ad-hoc financial analysis.
It's a great opportunity to grow and gain credibility among senior stakeholders. The role does not have any direct reports but can draw on the broader finance and insight community for MI and analysis. Stakeholder management skills will therefore be key, butalso a willingness to delve into the detail will be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Group Head of FP&A in the management of the financial planning cycles, strategic planning, annual budget and forecasting.
- Execute BAU FP&A activities and support broader team with wider projects.
- Develop strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the Group and work effectively with various finance business partners in supporting the financial modelling of forecasts, budgets and strategic/ad-hoc business cases.
- Add value and be creative through delivery of targeted analytics and insights to enable appropriate management action to be taken.
- Design and deliver data dashboards to identify trends that can influence future decision-making, track performance in relation to our KPIs, and better align actions with strategy.
- Drive continuous improvements in processes and reporting to ensure that the activities of the team best delivers the requirements of our stakeholders.
- Be involved in key deliverables such as board papers, BP and QBR presentations, annual report materials and expense analysis
- Shape and develop Group MI capability to be a credible central hub for financial data and analysis across all the BUs.

**Skills**:

- An experienced financial professional with an accountancy qualification
- Highly numerate with a clear understanding of how financial models work
- Experience in FP&A within insurance is essential
- Ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbally)
- Excellent influencing skills and a proven ability to challenge stakeholders where it matters
- Strong analytical skills and an ability to tell the story behind the numbers
- Outstanding attention to detail and ability to effectively prioritise team activity
