**JOB TITLE: Semi Skilled Machinist**

**DEPARTMENT: 108 Engineering**

**REPORTS TO: Engineering Manager/Engineering Cell Leader**

**LIAISON WITH: All UK departments and teams**

**LOCATION: UK HQ Cannock**

**Job Brief**

Our engineering role will be centred around supporting the machine shops production through put, working on wide variety of equipment and diverse tasks occasionally working on product in other areas of the facility. Supporting other UK sites and the global business with machined components.

With a wide variety of skills required experience using manual equipment such as lathes, millers, drillers and grinding equipment are essential.

**Key Accountabilities**
- To be able to use engineering equipment to manufacture any component required by department
- Assisting with maintaining tooling and fixtures
- Assisting with the manufacture of new tools, jigs and fixtures.
- To complete this in adequate time and require quality standards
- Use of various engineering materials: Mild steel to EN19, Aluminium, Phosphor Bronze, Copper, Nylon, Plastic
- To train others if required
- To be able to work as part of a team
- Completion of relevant paperwork, route cards and daily check sheets
- To keep work area clean and tidy

**Requirements, experience, and education**
- Manual lathe machining experience
- CNC experience if possible
- Turret mill machining experience
- Surface grinding experience
- Use of engineering drawings
- Use of measuring equipment, Digital Vernier, Micrometres, internal, outside, digital, depth, Plug gauges and telescopic bore gauge
- Manufacture of components to specific tolerances
- To plan step by step approach to complete component manufacture

This role is located at our UK HQ in Cannock.

**Experience**:

- Machinist: 1 year (preferred)
