Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner

Camden, United Kingdom Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust Full time

PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE A LOW INTENSITY CBT QUALIFICATION (or are within 3 months of qualifying)

We currently have posts available within our Camden/Islington ICope Services.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our successful and dynamic IAPT services, with lots of innovation, service development projects and research to get involved in. You will be based across the boroughs of Camden and Islington and will join a large team of lively and friendly Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, CBT Therapists, Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners and Counsellors.

We are looking for qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners who have a strong academic background, excellent interpersonal skills and experience of working with people with mental health problems. Enthusiasm, confidence and the ability to work flexibly and without close direction are essential.

The post-holder will provide a range of brief evidence-based step 2 interventions in primary care and community settings for people with mild to moderate mental health problems. There is an opportunity to be involved in running groups and developing a specialist interest.

Camden and Islington have been involved in the development of Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner roles and were among the first IAPT sites in London. The post pays Inner London Weighting Allowance and offers access to high level in-house CPD and regular supervision from experienced clinicians.

iCope offers flexible working hours. We offer blended working; working both from home and from the office, and you will be expected to work one evening shift (until 8pm) per week.

We want to further increase the diversity of our staff and ability to speak other languages fluently is an advantage (we have a particular need for Bengali, Sylheti, Turkish and Somali speakers).
