Book Keeper

**Position**:Bookkeeper
- **Location**:Hitchin, Herts
- **Salary**:£20,000 - £25,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- **Contract**:Permanent, Full-time, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm.

**Bookkeeper**:

- Are you an experienced bookkeeper?
- Are you AAT Part or qualified?
- Do you understand basic limited company structures and associated accounts?
- Have you dealt with VAT preparations and submissions previously?
- Are you familiar using Xero and Dext (formerly Receipt Bank)? Although not essential.
- Have you dealt with clients previously and would be confident managing a portfolio of accounts?
- Would you like being part of an established bookkeeping team and working for a vibrant office?

**The Role**:
Our client is a well-established and independent accountancy practice who is looking for an established bookkeeper to join their expanding and vibrant team in Hitchin. You will be responsible for dealing with a portfolio of clients and assisting with quarterly VAT returns and their bookkeeping as well as preparing figures for management and annual accounts.

**Duties**:

- Dealing with quarterly VAT returns
- Managing a portfolio of clients for bookkeeping
- Responsible for being the main point of contact for bookkeeping
- Preparing figures for management accounts and the annual accounts.

**Job Requirements**:

- Experience and understanding of basic limited company structures and associated accounts is essential as the vast majority of the clients to be managed will fall under this structure.
- experience with VAT preparations and submission is vital.
- Preferred experience of Xero, Quickbooks and Dext (formerly Receipt Bank).
- Some experience on could based accountancy software is preferred
- Experience on Sage Line 50
- Understand of basic limited company structures and associated accounts
