They are founded in Manchester and have been helping the public with their legal claims. They specialise in acting for tenants where their landlord have failed to repair their property and protecting deposits as the law requires.

To date, they have recovered well over £100 million for their clients.

**Job role**:
To ensure the accurate and correct processing of claims, based on contractual obligations and liability rules, across all campaigns.

Claim auditors are also responsible for maintaining timelines, quality of service and the number of claims processed in a set period of time.

**Job description**:
Auditing involves examining and evaluating, and it's a process used across many industries to ensure accuracy.

Although auditing often refers to the examination of financial records, this process is also important in the legal industry.

When a policyholder submits a claim, someone who works for the Barings Law assesses the validity and accuracy of the claim, and that role is referred to as a claim auditor.

As a claim auditor you will be required to both prepare cases across all campaigns for audits for internal and external audits.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Reviewing submitted claims
- Ensuring the processing of claims in a timely manner
- Accurately adjudicating claims
- Monitoring financial records
- Reviewing medical records and other sensitive information
- Performing follow-ups with policyholders and claimants

**Claim Auditor skills**:

- **Written and oral communication** - Claim auditors communicate with others within the company for which they work, as well as with those who file claims. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential in conveying information clearly and accurately.
- **Attention to detail**:

- It's important that a claim auditor pays close attention to details, as some of the aspects that could result in a claim being rejected or reviewed for accuracy are minor details.
- **Confidentiality** - When working as a claim auditor, an individual may review medical records, legal records and other information about people that must remain confidential. The ability to maintain confidentiality is a must for someone working in this position.
- **Organizational** skills are useful when a claim auditor is tracking multiple claims at the same time and working to adhere to a strict timeline.
- **Analytical** - One of the key responsibilities of a claim auditor is to analyse claims, so they need to have strong analytical skills to know what to look for and how to respond to these requests.
- **Adaptability** - You need to be an individual who can work to tight deadlines and deliver results that benefit the firm.

Previous experience preferred but not essential.

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
