**About The Role**:
**Location**:Office based in Warrington, with some homeworking.

**Hours**:35hrs per week including Evenings & Weekends on a Rota Basis
** Or**
***28hrs per week including Evenings & Weekends on a Rota Basis.

We have an exciting new opportunity for an empathetic and motivated individual to join us as a Telephone Dementia Adviser in our Warrington office.

Your role will sit within our national Alzheimer’s Society’s telephone service and currently operates seven days a week covering Monday to Wednesday 9am-8pm, and Thursday to Sunday 9am-5pm. It’s the first point of contact for anyone calling us who has been diagnosed with Dementia or their immediate families, friends and carers.

During these calls you will assess their needs sensitively, guiding them to other services and networks in their local area where necessary. At times these calls can be emotional and challenging for a number of reasons, so patience and compassion is needed to build trust with the caller and get the best possible outcome for everyone concerned.

The service also receives calls from local community services and national services seeking support and guidance on all aspects of Dementia and those affected by the condition.

**About you**

You will have:

- Previous experience in a telephone-based or customer facing role.
- Fluency in English, although additional languages would be an advantage.
- Good written communication skills.
- Ability to actively listen, capture and accurately record important information.
- Familiar with CRM Systems (Customer Relationship Management).
- An understanding of Dementia.
- Health and Social care qualification, such as NVQ level 3 or equivalent would be an advantage.
- You should also be able to work in the office at least two to three days a week and whilst working from home commit to regular evening and weekend working as part of a rota.

As part of your probationary period, you will have a twelve-week induction plan. This has been designed to give you the skills and knowledge to become a trusted expert in your role and together we’re committed to learning from and supporting each other to achieve more.
