DRAMA Co LEADER
CENTRE STAGE NEURODIVERGENT GROUP 16-25 YEARS

**Role**:
To plan, deliver and evaluate The Centre Stage weekly drama group.

**Responsible to**: Board of Trustees

**Job Description**:
We are looking for a creative and well organised person who has experience in creative performance and experience of working with neurodiverse Young People aged 16-25 years. We are looking for somebody who can be flexible, can work as part of a team whilst having the ability to use their own initiative. As part of this role, you will be expected to go through our DBS Clearance.

This role will be to run our Centre Stage Group for neurodiverse young people aged 16-25, but the role may extend in time to include other groups and workshops depending on further development and funding.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Part-time hours: 3 per week

**Salary**: £18.00 per hour

Work Location: One location The Kindle Centre, Belmont Road Hereford HR2 7JE

**Responsibilities**:

- To co-lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of the Centre Stage drama group for 16-25-year-olds
- To support participation in drama performance and creative writing and script writing..
- To support the young people involved in this group and ensure that they are able to gain maximum benefit from the activities we provide.
- Recognising the needs of the participants within the groups that you work with, responding to them sensitively.
- To keep accurate and up-to-date planning monitoring and evaluation information as requested by The Cracked Slipper Company and the funders.
- To attend and contribute to meetings reporting on the progress of the group.
- To manage small project budgets and petty cash records as required
- To be an ambassador for The Cracked Slipper Company and promote the organisation in a positive and engaging manner.
- Work alongside our Community Coordinator and the committee of The Cracked Slipper Company in forming partnership work and engaging with the local community and maintaining good relationships with our partners

**General**:

- To ensure that Safeguarding and other relevant policies are understood and followed at all times.
- To adhere to quality standards as set out in all of The Cracked Slipper Company Policies.
- To contribute towards long-term planning and fundraising
- To attend regular supervision sessions and training as required
- To represent The Cracked Slipper Company at events and meetings as required

**Job specification**:
**Essential**
- Background and experience in Performing arts.
- Some experience of working with neurodiverse young people
- An understanding of safeguarding young people
- ability to devise and lead workshops.
- Ability to act on own initiative.
- The ability to commute to the weekly groups each week.
- Proven commitment to equal opportunities and inclusion

**Desirable**
- Understanding of charitable governance
- knowledge of good youth theatre practice
- Good artistic network in the surrounding area
- teaching or youth work qualification
