Aircraft Planner

This role will give you the chance to play a key role on ground-breaking and high-profile defence projects with values in the hundreds of millions. You’ll be part of an industry-leading team, working with Marshall and other major defence stakeholders and Primes.
- Producing a schedule of all required maintenance tasks, including OOP’s, ADF/LIM’s, CAMO directed tasks, etc.
- Using LITS, review and generate a short forecast printout to aid scoping the maintenance plan.
- Using LITS, liaise with the Forward Technical Support Group Support Representative to identify any Deferred Fault (ADF) and system limitation (LIM) entries that can be rectified during the input.
- Allocate planned resources required to meet the plan (i.e. using the Sqn Shift Planners to identify initial manning levels and constraints).
- Identification and booking of other resources and agencies to meet planned maintenance requirements (e.g. NDT availability, Spares demanding and forecasts, Sqn Training Days, Station Support limitations).
- Maintain oversight of ongoing planned maintenance and provide guidance on any adjustments to Project Managers on maintenance plan.
- In consultation with the Aircraft Project Manager (APM) and the delegated Programme Manager (PM), update, amend and maintain the aircraft timeline during the Pre
- Input Planning process. If significant changes are required during the aircraft maintenance input, update the timeline to reflect changes and advise Sqn Management, PM and APM.
- Schedule, provide input to and lead Pre-Input Maintenance Meetings (PIMM's), Schedule Reviews, Milestone Reviews and aircraft Lessons-Learned meetings.
- In addition to the primary role, support the Forward Fleet Planner and cover during absences as well as providing general support to the HUB functions including LITS.

**Qualifications**:

- Knowledge of aircraft systems acquired through advanced formal training. LITS competency. ONC Level or 'A' Levels or Scottish Highers in job-related discipline may be included, or equivalent advanced craft
- Certificate (NVQ-3). Desirable knowledge and use of Microsoft project or similar project management tool.
