**Here's what you'll be doing**

We Operate one of the largest streetlight contracting businesses in the UK with a large presence in the Midlands and the North West. As well as providing new installations for most of the UK’s Housing developers, we also work for the majority of the localauthorities in our areas. Right now we're looking for a Highways Electrician to join our team at Sleaford Depot in Lincolnshire with travel within the surrounding areas. Further travel may be required at times.

**Responsibilities Include**:

- Carrying out routine electrical street lighting maintenance and installation and non-routine electrical street lighting maintenance including fault finding and repairs.
- Electrical testing.
- Driving and operating company vehicles appropriate to the role.
- Assisting with the minor excavation and reinstatement in multiple surface types for the purposes of cable laying and column erection.
- Carry out risk assessments and work to company policies and procedures.
- Work on own initiative or as part of a team and supervision of a working party.
- Attending call outs as required.
- Progress to additional Authorised duties i.e., LV Mains Jointers Mate and Jointer.
- Maintain safe standards throughout the delivery of work.
- Flexible to work on multiple sites across a wide geographic area.

**What we need from you**

**Here’s what you need to have**:

- Level 2 and level 3 certificate in Highway Electrical work or equivalent qualification such as C&G 236 part 1 and 2.
- NVQ Level 3 - Highway Electrical Work
- Current edition of BS7671
- A current NRSWA - (New Roads & Street Works Act) qualification - units 1-6 & 8.
- A Current full Driving Licence up to 7.5t
- A Current IPAF Licence.
- A willingness to work in an outside environment all year round.

**It would be great if you had**
- HESA (Highway Electrical Skills Academy), or equivalent, qualifications including:

- HESA 210 (G39) - working in the vicinity of DNO / DNO Equipment
- HESA 214 - Safe Isolation
- HESA 714 - Inspection & Testing
- Emergency First Aid

**Here’s what you need to know**
- The salary range for this role is £33,403.
- This role is based at Sleaford Depot, Pride Parkway off East Road, Sleaford, Lincolnshire, NG34 7BY with travel within the surrounding areas. Further travel may be required at times.
- The working hours for this role are 37 hours a week, working between 7.00am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. Paid overtime outside of these hours may be required at times.
