**About the Role**:
As a Temporary Band 3 HCA, you will play an integral role in our healthcare team, providing direct care and support to patients in a variety of settings, including clinics and patients' homes. Your duties will include assisting patients with personal care, providing medication reminders, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with mobility and activities of daily living. You will work under the supervision of registered nurses and contribute to the overall care plan for each patient.

This temporary position is available starting on 2nd February 2024 and will end on the same day. The shift will begin at 13:30:00 and conclude at 20:15:00, allowing for a rewarding work-life balance. For each shift worked, you will receive a competitive payment rate of £70.34.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide compassionate and professional care to patients, respecting their dignity and promoting their independence
- Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Administer medication reminders as required, following established protocols and guidelines
- Monitor patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature, and report any abnormalities to the registered nurse
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment and techniques to ensure patient safety
- Support patients with their activities of daily living, promoting physical and emotional well-being
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and observations
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant is desirable, but not essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic understanding of personal care principles and infection control protocols
- Empathy and compassion for patients with diverse care needs
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and patient requirements
- Willingness to undergo any necessary training and development to enhance your skills
