Childcare Apprentice

Level 2 or Level 3 apprentice with Barking and Dagenham College.
- To provide a safe, stimulating and welcoming environment for all children and adults.
- To provide high quality care and education for all children who attend the setting.
- To act as a key person to a small group of children, liaising closely with parents/carers and ensuring individual children’s needs are recognised and met. To observe and keep records on their key group children.
- To liaise with parents/carers, informing them regarding the setting and EYFS curriculum, exchanging information about their child’s progress and encouraging parental involvement.
- To assist the team in planning and delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- To act as a good role model for all in the setting.
- To comply with the staff code of conduct handbook.
- To advise the Manager of any concerns e.g. over children, parents/carers or the safety of equipment, preserving confidentiality as necessary.
- To be aware of all the policies and procedures that should be put into practice while working in the setting.
- To ensure records are accurately maintained e.g. daily register, accident and incident forms etc.
- To actively promote and support the safeguarding of all children within the setting.
- To discourage stereotyping by promoting positive images within the setting.

- To liaise with outside professional agencies as and when required.
- To attend in house/external training and staff/planning/assessment meetings as andwhen required and to take personal responsibility for your own development.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by the Manager in accordance to your post.
- To motive, inspire and support the team of practitioners to delivery the best practice to meet the requirements of the EYFS and the needs of all the stakeholders.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract
Part-time hours: 40 per week

**Salary**: £10,004.00-£19,760.00 per year
