Given our recent successful work winning strategies around the midlands we are now looking to recruit a Sub Agent/Setting Out Engineer or Site Manager to help deliver the building of a depot for HS2 in Birmingham.

This role is to assist the Project Manager in project delivery and site management, ensuring safe delivery of the project to time, cost and quality requirements.
This role requires experience of rail civils.

The opportunity can be either freelance, with the option go permanent or permanent from the start.

Job Specification
Experience as Sub-Agent, Section Engineer or equivalent on-site management position
Ensures SSOW’s are completed in a timely manner. Setting out in a timely manner
Completes tasks as per the P6 Programme.
Maintains project budget and programmes key milestone dates.
Produces relevant site documentation and assists PM with Client & internal reporting
Manages the Project Managers expectations and pro-actively flags issues, collaborates with the supply chain.
Ensures change is captured in variations and assists the Commercial/Project Manager with EWNs.
Conducts audits as per audit procedure.
Ensures supervisory staff are briefed the WPP & TBS’s.

Experience required
General civils setting out
Rail depot construction (not essential)
Writing task briefs
writing ITP's and ITC's
Completing ITC's and ensuring subcontractors are completed and signed off
Assisting compilation of H&S files.

Qualifications required
PTS
setting out using Leica or total station
SMSTS/SSSTS
CSCS
