Editorial Assistant

Mix Interiors is the leading UK-based title for commercial interior design. We’re seeking an editorial assistant to join our print and digital content team, working primarily from our headquarters in central Manchester.

Working closely with, and reporting to, the senior editorial team, you will write and edit digital and print content, assist with social media and newsletter copywriting, and stay on top of best practice in an ever-changing media landscape. A flexible attitude and good time management skills are important, as is the ability to prioritise under pressure.

**Responsibilities**:

- Write, update and optimise content for digital and print
- Generate ideas for compelling, relevant content across print, digital and multimedia
- Support the marketing manager with social media and newsletter copywriting
- Communicate with clients and PR agencies, gathering information and materials, and liaising as an editorial contact for other general queries

**Essentials**:

- An interest in publishing, strong writing skills and impeccable spelling and grammar
- The ability to shape your writing to exacting editorial standards and a defined ‘house style’
- The ability to travel and represent the Mix Interiors brand at industry events
- A positive, collaborative working attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt based on constructive feedback
- Strong organisation and time management skills, as well as an eye for detail

**Desirables**:

- Experience working with a content management system, preferably WordPress
- Knowledge of SEO best practice
- An active engagement with social media channels
- An interest in - and knowledge of - design, culture and the creative industries
