This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Education, Training and Development workstream of the SSoT Integrated Care System (ICS).

CeNREE is looking to appoint a Clinical Education Programme Lead to ensure the quality, expansion and monitoring of clinical placements across the SSoT Integrated Care System (ICS), with the support of a Clinical Placement Project Manager.

The aim of the Education, Training and Development workstream is to increase the future supply of the workforce across health and care services, focusing on all clinical and professional staff groups and improving our approach the clinical education and training locally. This will ensure that there is a current and future workforce that has the skills and knowledge to provide high quality evidence-based care to our local population.

**The post holder will**:

- Lead implementation of national and local workforce initiatives across the system including but not exclusively student development and placements, preceptorship, return to practice, international recruitment, support worker development, career pathway development, needs assessment of CPD/training/development of the system clinical workforce.
- Be responsible for the mapping and developing approaches with partners to locally deliver the national Long Term workforce plan Train, Retain and Reform ambitions.
- Work in partnership with the Head of ICS People and Strategic Workforce Planning Lead to understand the trainee pipeline for SSOT against the national Long Term Workforce Plan trajectories. Collaborate with clinical and profession leads to identify the local demand, and develop plans to address any supply deficits.
- Lead the development and implementation of a system Clinical Education and training approach, which supports and is aligned to the overall ICS Education, Training and Development Strategy outlining clear objectives and timescales to deliver clear key clinical workforce elements.
- In partnership with stakeholders, develop and deliver a comprehensive programme plan setting out key objectives/milestones, timeline for achievement and include processes to monitor and mitigate known and emergent risks as well as a comprehensive communications strategy to run alongside the delivery plan, so as to maintain communication with key stakeholders.
- Lead on the ICS Multi-Professional Education and Training Investment Plan (METIP) process with local and regional colleagues, working with partners to develop a robust process for reporting, understanding our system requirements aligned to provider and system workforce plans.
- Lead the system wide programme of work to expand placement opportunities across the system, including both NHS and PIVO provision, engaging with key stakeholders across Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent in the design and delivery of the programme objectives.
- Scope and develop system approaches to preceptorship for newly qualified registrants working with system partners and aligning with existing programmes.
- Explore digital and technological advances in clinical education, training and development to support innovation, efficiencies and improve experience, incorporating into strategy development and programmes.
- Work in partnership with the People Programme Manager to align wider ICS workforce ETD plans and Widening Participation activities. Additionally, ensure alignment of clinical ETD activities with other ICS People, Culture and Inclusion programme activities.
