**JOB TITLE**: _Head of Landscaping_

**DEPARTMENT**: _Playing surfaces and landscaping_

**REPORTING TO**: _Director of Global playing surfaces and Landscaping_

**JOB FUNCTION**: _To manage and develop our extensive landscaping around our site working closely with the Director of Global playing surfaces and landscaping and our contractors, trouble shooting and adding a personal touch to all areas. Helping to develop and deliver on a long term conservation project and giving Club identity across the site, along with the conservation and enhancement of the wider site, ensuring that the health and safety procedures are followed to the full._

**LOCATION**: _Cobham Training Ground_

**CONTRACT**: _Permanent, 40 hours, Any 5 in 7 days._

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES (Play Your Part)**:

- To provide senior leadership and direction for the Landscaping team at Cobham Training Ground
- Lead on, oversee and manage all landscaping projects within budget
- Maintain general up-keep and cleanliness of the whole site.
- Lead on the planning and organisation of undertaking general maintenance operations on all landscaped areas
- Managing and developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Making sure all key areas are presentable to a very high standard
- Undertaking general routine maintenance operations associated with estate management including and trouble shooting that could compromise safety
- Comply with all Health and Safety regulations and requirements within the Company and your role.
- Ensure that all equipment and machinery is properly maintained, secured and to report any faults or defects immediately.
- To work and act in a professional manner and wearing the appropriate uniform/work wear that will be provided at all times.
- Accountable for leading Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) within their area
- Align the teams’ activities to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) outcomes.
- Communicate their commitment to ED&I to their staff and across the Club
- To undertake any other tasks required as directed by the Director of Global Playing Surfaces and Landscaping

**PERSONAL SPECIFICATION**:
**Qualifications**:

- **Essential**_
- Excellent knowledge of estate landscaping management
- Relevant sector qualifications preferable

**Experience**:

- **Essential**_
- Proven experience within the landscaping industry
- Ability to lead, manage and motivate a team with previous experience preferable
- Demonstrable experience of working knowledge of health and safety processes and procedures
- Passionate and willing to work outdoors and in all weathers.
- Able to work in a professional and responsible manner.
- Good communication skills.
- Personal qualities include excellent time management, attention to detail and a friendly and outgoing personality.
- A flexible approach to working hours, particularly weekends and bank holidays is a must.
- Ability to produce monthly reporting on all matters landscaping
