Job Introduction **ROLE OF THE JOB**
- We are looking to recruit a Deputyship Assistant to work as part of a very busy team who manage the financial affairs of adult social care clients who lack mental capacity to manage their own finances. The team comprises of Deputyship Assistants and Deputyship Offices led by two Team Managers.
- You will have your own caseload and will need advanced keyboard skills as there is a requirement to work quickly and accurately due to the workload and the financial nature of the job.
- You require excellent problem-solving skills, good organisational skills; the ability to plan and prioritise. Meeting internal and external deadlines is essential.
- You will be required to communicate with a wide variety of people at all levels, internal and external (i.e. DWP, solicitors, financial institutions, police, care managers).
- Tasks will be varied and will include balancing accounts, making investments, completing court of protection paperwork, assisting in the protection of client properties and challenging DWP decisions.
- The post will be based at County Hall, but the post holder may be required to work at other sites within the Council.
- This role is permanent and full time (37 hours) with a Band 5 salary of (£26,421 - £28,770)

**REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB**
- The post holder may be required to drive throughout the county providing the service so full valid UK driving License will be required.
- The role requires a DBS Check.
