To supervise and control all aspects of the running and planning of the Ocean Fibre team and promoting the most efficient working practices within the area of responsibility.

**Key areas of responsibility**:

- To organise the team members to promote the most efficient utilisation of materials, resources and machinery, always focusing on health and safety best practices.
- To train and arrange training for all members of the team in all aspects of the Ocean Fibre Manufacturing discipline and associated skills for the department.
- To significantly improve the throughput, capability, ensure a quality product which meets the desired specifications.
- To promote a climate of continuous improvement within the team.
- Growing the department; assisting in recruitment and training.
- Be able to assist the Departmental Managers in their responsibility for the physical control of the company’s stock.

**Machines covered by this job specification**:

- Creel/twister/sling maker/sewing machines and various testing equipment.

**Training**:

- Training will be given for all function in the role including all quality/health and safety training which is necessary for the function.
- The operator will benefit from having completed an in-house training in various disciplines related to the job role.

**Requirements**:

- Should have a background in Engineering. A level or higher qualification desirable.
- Should be able to demonstrate both integrity and ingenuity when carrying out duties.
- Should be able to demonstrate good supervisory skills.
- IT -literacy is required.
