Mhe Assistant

**We have an exciting opportunity at our Middlewich Distribution Centre as a MHE Assistant. This will be working Saturday, Sunday and one day in the week 6am-7pm.**.

**What You will be doing**:

- Point of contact and advice throughout shift in terms of the management of the battery room activities
- Liaise with MHE users on all MHE best practice
- Educate and show colleagues on correct battery charging procedures including power off processes and disconnecting batteries from chargers
- Ensure all batteries are maintained appropriately and as per schedule
- Keeping an active fleet at all-time including where necessary swapping over lead acid batteries
- Report and VOR any equipment not previously VOR'd
- Work alongside on-site engineer on any VOR found/issues raised
- Report immediately any new damage to fleet so that a prompt investigation can be actioned at Team Manager level
- MHE sign out compliance - educate colleagues what is required and ensure it is actioned, challenge any non-adherence to process and report to Team Managers persistent non-adherence
- General hygiene of the battery room area
- Re-Labelling of any MHE where necessary
- MHE painting - touch ups to maintain fleet appearance
- Collation of auditable information regarding the upkeep of MHE including repair cost, repair detail etc

**What we need from you**:

- Llop and 1 metre trained
- Reach and/or FLT licence
- Counterbalance licence (desirable)
- Good numerical and analytical skills paying strong attention to detail
- Flexible and able to respond positively and reliably to internal and external customer requirements
- Ability to challenge colleagues on non-adherence
- Hands on approach and to be able to accept change where necessary
- Driven by continual improvement and high personal standard
