**About The Role**:
The Lead Dispatcher will report into the Logistics Manager - Head of Logistics and is responsible for overseeing the dispatch team. They will be responsible for meeting daily order targets set by the Logistic Managers - Head of Logistics, adhering to the CAA regulations and ensuring that all orders are fulfilled by production. To check stock levels, reporting any deficiencies to Logistic Manager - Head of Logistics and both maintain and update the stock report throughout the shift. To work closely with the production teams, be responsible for ensuring staff are trained and comply to company SSOW. and that Health & Safety is at the forefront of their day-to-day activities.
**Preferred to be trained in x-ray to be used in emergencies as and when required
- ( please not the higher pay rate will only be considered for applicants with previous Xray Knowledge and experience**
The Lead Dispatcher will:
- Direct and support dispatch team.
- Always maintain and follow H&S standards. Working in a safe and effective manor, in line with the training that is delivered.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative and problem solve.
Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Role
- To work as the Dispatch Lead making sure that the teams load and dispatch the product (In Flight-Supplies) in a timely manner.
- Advising customers of order deliveries by sharing delivery trackers.
- Manage the team and maintain the rotas, annual leave, and sickness.
- Have good attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and able to use initiative, while being part of a team.
- Oversee that the security sheets are completed correctly.
- To ensure and oversee that all document checks are carried out before dispatching products.
- To liaise with all departments to ensure that products required are available and prioritise accordingly.
- Ensure housekeeping is always kept to a high standard.
- To oversee and ensure that all stock is moved into dispatch with the 8.1 completed.
- Ensure that all broken equipment is tagged and reported.
- To assist - lead with team to carry out ad - hoc tasks as and when required.
Background & Skills
- Experience in dispatch ideally within Laundry and Warehouse
- Strong relationship building and influencing skills.
- Technical expertise in laundry, distribution and logistics is desirable.
- Demonstrates drive and resilience. Open and innovative when working in a dynamic and fast paced environment. Decisive and collaborative in equal measures.
