**Job Purpose**

To support and assist the NPD (New Product Development) team’s function within the business to develop ‘best in class’ innovative NPD & EPD for both brand & private label products in compliance with internal & external standards.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Support NPD team with communication to seasoning suppliers as well as sending base product and 1st production samples.
- Assist the team with product & packaging sample generation, packing and posting as well as participating in internal tasting sessions across both brand & private label development.
- Assist development chef & team with kitchen activity including real food preparation for seasoning profiling & product submissions, as well as lunches for customer visits.
- Co-ordinate kitchen and factory trial shelf life which involves sample make-up, providing samples to team members and keeping record of results.
- Maintain upkeep and tidiness of kitchen & storage to maximise efficiency of NPD team.
- Co-ordinate benchmarking sessions of competitor products and maintain record of competitor products.
- Support NPD team with store visits on occasion to collect product samples & ingredients as required.
- Support with successful handover completion to process by conducting seasoning cup & flow tests and feeding back results.
- Promote a foodie culture within the NPD team and wider business, identifying and exploiting awareness and knowledge of food trends.
- To assist with general administration within the NPD team as well as any other ad-hoc tasks as required.

**HSE Responsibilities (Levels 1 & 2)**

**Experience and Qualifications**
- Experience in food manufacturing / catering desirable.
- Full driving license.
- Strong attention to detail.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship

**Salary**: Up to £22,000.00 per year
