Buying Assistant for Parallel Trade

**About The Role**:
**Role**:
The Buying Assistant for Parallel Trade will support sourcing and supplier engagement in the UK of Parallel Trade / Sourced Goods supporting the procurement of AAH Pharmaceuticals has the best supply, costs, and range to enable our sales teams deliver the best proposition in the UK pharma market. Working with Junior and Senior buyers and inventory team so that KPIs are achieved.
**Accountabilities**:
- Working as part of the UK Sourcing team and closely with the UK Parallel Trade team, Commercial Team, the Buying Assistant will work with Junior and Senior Buyers to work to proactively expand the business, profitability market share and grow the product baskets.
- Responsible for day-to-day placing and tracking purchase orders from a range of suppliers.
- Managing Inventory and keeping track of Market Changes/Trends.
- Work with Junior and Senior Buyers and Managers to help Independently drive continuous price, product improvements, supplier relationships to enable growth of the portfolio.
- Proactively look at the orders and selection of the right product mix with suppliers.
- Identify issues and propose solutions where necessary on any inventory anomalies and stock control.
- Work collectively as part of the EU and UK Procurement Team and Business Partners to source quality and timely delivered Parallel and UK Sourced Products.
- Ensure accurate volume planning and forecasting to meet sales requirements across all UK customer channels.
- Help manage suppliers and coordinate activities to meet business area objectives.
- Compiling reports on products, product performance and statistics
- Seek feedback from receives it openly, consistently monitoring their performance and impact on other areas of the business and if necessary, take early corrective actions in best interests of the business.

**About You**:
**Experience and Qualifications**:
- A Good understanding of the Retail Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Industry, preferably within a wholesale capacity.
- Understanding of the Parallel Trade and products within it.
- Commercially aware
- Strong communicator
- Strong team working skills
- Good Negotiator with buying experience.
- Flexible mindset
- Good Excel skills
- Experience of using data and analytical tools to support decision making.
- Analytical
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements
- A Levels or Equivalent
- Use of Power BI dashboards
- Use of Parallel Trade Data Providers like MPA Search, Wavedata and GPrX
- Understanding of UK Brand and Generics marketplace
- Training will be given where required
