Rates: £11.85- £12.88ph (pay increase after 12 weeks)

This role will include assisting HGV2 driver's complete deliveries to Starbucks store locations around the north of England. Driver's mates will help drivers to offload stock from the vehicle and decant the products into the shops as per the risk assessments given to the drivers. A standard route for a driver's mate would consist of 8 to 12 drops in and around large cities and motorway service stations, handling milk, coffee, sundries and cleaning products that have been ordered by the store. Driver's mates will be required to follow the risk assessments provided and place the correct products in the correct place, ensuring the area is left clean and tidy ready for the store partners the next morning.

Full training will be provided by our onsite trainers, who will demonstrate basic manual handling skills, safe access and egress from rigid vehicles, correct product placement and use of Microlise scanning devices to accurately track deliveries. Training will be done live on delivery, with a small amount of classroom learning.

The job itself is very physically demanding, so you will be required to be physically fit and willing to work hard during the time they are out on the road. Drivers will also assist in the unloading process throughout.
