- Miss A West - Nursery Manager.

**Purpose of Job**:
To work directly with children and their families under the supervision of the Nursery Manager, in a Nursery & Pre
- Preparatory setting which provides an educational and stimulating programme of activities within a safe environment.

**Principal Accountabilities**:

- To work within the nursery team and assist the Pre-Prep team with the daily needs of all children attending through a safe, clean, secure, caring and stimulating programme of activities. The individual needs of each child - religious, racial, cultural, physical or linguistic must be catered for.
- To assist with the preparation of the room each morning and with the clearing away of toys/equipment throughout the day.
- To work with the Pre-Prep team in maintaining a high standard of hygiene and safety within the classroom and toilet area
- To contribute to the daily monitoring and assessment of pupils where particular needs have been identified.
- To lease with other members of the department in order to share information and concerns of particular children.
- To contribute to the development of the Nursery & Pre-Prep department and undertake further training where necessary.
- To assist with the supervision of children in the toilet nappy area and outside the classroom.
- To assist with the supervision and clearing away of all meal/snack times.
- To take an active part in all educational/pre-school activities.
- To maintain a positive and courteous manner towards clients and staff at all times.
- To have drive, ambition and embrace training.

The job description reflects the major tasks to be carried out by the post holder and identifies a level of responsibility at which they will be required to work. In the interests of effective working, the major tasks may be reviewed from time to time to reflect changing departmental needs and circumstances. Such reviews and any consequent changes will be carried out in the constitution with the post holder who must be flexible and adaptable enough to take constructive criticism and to undertake other tasks which may arise with the purpose of the post by agreement with the employers.

A non-selective independent school registered with DFE and ISI for boys and girls aged 5 to 18 years.
