Account Assistant

Accountancy Recruit is partnering a client in Trafford Park to recruit an Accounts Assistant to take ownership of Accounts Receivable and also being mentored by the FC to produce monthly management accounts to trial balance. This is a great development opportunity and would suit a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant looking to move towards management accounts production and month end support. It would also suit an Assistant Management Accountant happy to take on some Accounts Receivable responsibilities. The role is hybrid with 2 days at home and 3 in the office. The Accounts Assistant will have the following responsibilities:

- Assist in the production of management accounts including journal postings, accruals, and prepayments.
- Manage the relationship with the invoice facility company including administration and maintenance.
- Assist with the weekly cashflow update, monitoring and reporting.
- Take ownership of Accounts Receivable, processing invoices, credit control & internal monitoring / co-ordinating of bespoke systems supporting local teams.
- Work with the FC to incorporate sales forecasts in the production of cashflow forecasts.

To be successful in this role the Accounts Assistant will have the following experience:

- Experience in a similar position.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage credit control effectively minimizing aged debt.
- Excellent attention to detail processing invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ability to assist with the production of monthly management accounts to trial balance posting journals, accruals and prepayments.

The salary advertised for this role is a guideline and the salary offered will be commensurate with experience.
