The Company

Our client is a leader in their specialist manufacturing field due to sustained growth they are now looking to recruit a Logistics Administrator.

The Role
- The role covers a wide variety of tasks, including assisting in the timely and compliant processing of paperwork for stock movements; working with global colleagues to raise awareness of latest methods of working and refining key administrative processes.
- Administering and managing system stock transactions to support the import /export of goods and relevant tracking of stock around the business.
- Communicating relevant updates to the operations team on incoming key components.
- Working with global teams to evaluate monthly stock checks and investigate outcomes.
- Playing a key role in helping to define system routings of new parts and documenting the administration processes to support this.
- Producing regular data and reports to assist colleagues in decision making for planning and purchases within the process.
- Assisting with the preparation of KPI reports.
- Working with the IT department to refine existing and implement new administrative processes to support stock movement, planning and purchases.
- Ensuring business wide compliance to relevant system processes around stock movement and giving training where necessary to colleagues.

The Person
- Must be an experienced person who has excellent communication and IT skills and the ability to build good working relationships internally and externally.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- IT literate, particularly Microsoft packages, including excel.
- Experience of using ERP / MRP systems advantageous..
- Solid organisational skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience of managing a demanding workload in accordance with tight deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team to build rapport effectively with customers and colleagues, ensuring queries are dealt with quickly and effectively.
- Ability and desire to contribute to the development of the company through involvement in continuous improvement projects / activities.
