Internal Sales

Based in Hillington, Glasgow we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and hands-on product marketer to work on our range of industrial B2B products.
As a department of 1, you will be responsible for carrying out all day-to-day marketing activities of the business as well as reporting to the board of directors on a strategic basis.
In addition to forming and growing the marketing function, this role will take responsibility for shaping the internal sales function.
Responsibilities include:
- Creation of a marketing matrix for the business and its products to identify the current position and the desired positioning
- Detailed marketing actions required to reach the desired position
- Maintaining the websites and SEO
- Working closely with our branding partners to ensure that branding guidelines are implemented and adhered to
- Ability to write guidelines for aspects such as product photography taking into consideration the customer profile
- Close monitoring the CRM system to ensure that all enquiries are recorded and followed up in a timely manner
- proactively generating sales leads
- supporting the external sales team
- providing excellent customer service
- maintaining a continuing relationship with existing customers
- working with our lighting designers to identify and specify the correct lighting products from our portfolio in a timely manner
- providing regular and accurate sales & marketing reporting
- Has at least 3 years’ experience, 2 of which in a traditional product marketing role
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Can work alongside a passionate and enthusiastic team across all disciplines to help the business to grow
- Is hands on and wants to shape their area within the business
- Either has a marketing qualification or is prepared to study for one
- Is passionate about customer service
- Has excellent MS Office skills
This role will suit someone:
- Who is purely a digital marketer and has no experience of industrial product marketing
- Who is not prepared to engage with all levels internally & externally
- Who is not prepared to immerse themselves in the products and the organisation
