**We have an exciting opportunity to join our facilities/maintenance team as a Maintenance Assistant based at our Runcorn Distribution Centre.**

**This will be a full-time role, working a rotational shift 6am - 2pm/ 2pm - 10pm Monday - Friday.**

This would be a good opportunity for someone interested in getting into the facilities/maintenance sector. You will be assisting in the maintenance, security and services of the Distribution Centre. Monitoring and acting where appropriate to ensure a safe working environment for colleagues, visitors and contractors on site.

**Within this role you will**:

- Assisting to ensure buildings meet health and safety requirements and that facilities comply with legislation
- Complete daily H&S audits
- Ensure relevant audits and workplace inspections are undertaken
- Where appropriate, escalate any health and safety issues to the Shift Manager and H&S Manager
- Weekly/daily/monthly testing of fire doors/bell tests/sprinklers/lighting checks
- Manage FLT kit repair
- Report daily VOR and progress reports
- Prepare documents to put out tenders for contractors project manage, supervise and coordinate the work of contractors
