**Autistic male living in Bedminster needing a PA to cover 12 hrs P/W £11.30p/h**:
I am an autistic male living in Bedminster with my dog needing a Personal Assistant to help cover 12 hours per week.
- I require support with accessing the community such as going to the shops, cafes, walks, BASS and to help me manage my personal care at home. (I do not require PA to complete personal care, but to prompt me to keep on top of my personal care)
Experience in similar role would be advantageous, although not essential as training will be provided.
- Duties include;
- Support in wider community
- Prompting me to take medication
- Prompting me with personal hygiene and domestic tasks
- Acting as advocate for me, regarding contact with the Council over tenancy issues, and day-to-day business matters (e.g. electricity and gas suppliers), also talking to the police over issues of personal security.
Qualities:
- Outgoing & talkative friendly person
- Willing to undertake training as required.
- Have a positive understanding of the autistic spectrum and related abilities
- Have a high degree of initiative
- Be punctual and reliable
- Be flexible
- Have a happy positive caring nature.
- Respect Confidentiality
Hours & Pay:
- 12 hours per week over 6 days
- £11.30/hour
- Training:
- Applicant ideally trained or have experience with autistic people. Training will be provided if not.
Other:
- DBS will be required and checked
