**Purpose of the role**

To provide commercial support for the asset protection team’s scope of work. This includes assisting with compiling costs for invoicing on projects that we commercially manage and periodic reporting. The role provides opportunity to be involved with variety of pre and post commercial support activities, and interface with a variety of stakeholders.

**Role and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to**:

- Assist in report running and compiling data for cost reporting of all allocated projects within the Network Rail reporting framework including Cost Forecasting, Anticipated Final Cost, Cost of Work Done, Gross Billing and Current Contract Value.
- Assist in reporting on commercial aspects of allocated projects, flagging issues and proposing mitigation actions at the earliest opportunity to the Commercial Manager
- Prepare and manage cost invoice breakdowns for a portfolio of projects/schemes.
- Prepare and raise billing against the various agreements in place with the investment teams’ clients. Ensure payments received and necessary reporting is prepared.
- Support the Commercial Manager in final account settlements and internal reconciliation to project close-out as per the project authority, project plan and within agreed timescales.
- Prepare documentation to support the Commercial Manager in estimating resources.
- Input data related to project costs.
