To support the work of the multidisciplinary team in the development of a pioneering and new clinical pathway designed to meet the needs of older people presenting with complex emotional and relational needs.

The postholder will be involved in a number of roles including co-facilitating several skills based groups, supporting the recommendations identified within clinical psychological formulations, sharing psychological thinking, skills and knowledge within the wider multidisciplinary team and care home liaison and life story work. In addition, there are opportunities to be involved in being a core member of a newly established trust wide older
peoples research unit, specifically established to increase the competence and confidence of the workforce to engage in research activities across Pennine Care.

To undertake clinically supervised work with clients from the Complex Emotional and Relational Needs Pathway.
This will primarily include the cofacilitation of various skills based groups and the development and preparation of materials for these groups.
Working with the wider multidisciplinary team to support the recommendations identified in individual psychological formulations under clinical supervision.
To work jointly with other members of the multidisciplinary team providing appropriate psychological and psychoeducational interventions.
To undertake other clinically relevant activities supporting the work of the clinical psychologists and other members of the multidisciplinary team including care home liaison, life story work, developing psychological formulations, scoring treatment questionnaires, undertaking audit work and completing literature reviews.
To attend and contribute towards multidisciplinary care planning meetings, ward rounds and other clinical meetings as appropriate.
